As a Sushi Line Cook, you will develop and use your food passion to produce unique sushi offerings in a high-volume, open kitchen restaurant. Ensure incredible service is provided by effectively handling a variety of tasks Follow proper recipes, knife skills and cooking techniques to provide consistent ingredients and finished products Balance prep work while ensuring guests meals are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards Possess an understanding of ingredients used and menu offerings, sharing knowledge with restaurant team members Comply with applicable State Restaurant Health Codes and Regulations Required Qualifications 1 or more years--- experience working as a sushi/maki line cook Knife skills Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant ingredients and cuisine Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in culinary arts Experience handling sashimi-quality fish Experience preparing sushi in a high-volume environment At Wegmans, we---ve long believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
