One of New York's top hospitals is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director Perioperative Services to join their healthcare team near Elmira, NY!
This full-time, exempt role involves coordinating activities within defined areas, providing clinical and administrative leadership, and fostering a collaborative, professional environment. The Director Perioperative Services will play a key role in implementing the organization's vision and mission, driving quality patient care, and ensuring effective management of nursing staff and resources. The idea candidate will possess at least five years of clinical experience, a New York State nursing license, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or a commitment to acquire it within two to three years). Certification in a nursing specialty is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The Director Perioperative Services will oversee standards of care and professional performance, with responsibilities that include staffing, budgeting, planning, and evaluating patient outcomes. This role involves physical demands such as assisting patients of varying abilities and requires certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for critical care units.
