Job Title: Dental AssistantDepartment: DentalLocation: Pluta DentalHours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday DaysSUMMARY: Under supervision of Dentist or manager, functions as a dental chair assistant and office assistant. And, can perform additional tasks as is allowed under NYS law for Licensed Dental Assistants RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes
• Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures
• Maintain all patient records and update as necessaryREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Dental assisting experienceEDUCATION:Trade Certificate/Program Completion (Required)LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - NYSEDPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE:$17.50 - $19.40 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14617 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
